When Kevin Durant announced that he'd be leaving Oklahoma City to join the Golden State Warriors, everyone immediately started thinking about how many games the Warriors could win next season, or how in the world any team would be able to stop them from taking back the NBA title.
Sneakerheads, however, instantly began wondering what Nike would do with his ninth signature sneaker, the Nike KD9. Sure, they'll still be able to produce the classic colorways in honor of his hometown or his Aunt Pearl, but those orange and blue OKC themed joints will be no more.
Instead, Nike and Durant will be working with a new yellow and blue color palette and instagram user @Jayzrdead, has provided five "GSW" photoshop renderings of the KD9 in anticipation of what's in store.
From the traditional white "Home" color scheme to the alternate all-yellow KD9, these are just some inspirations that we could see Durant lacing up next season.
