It's about that time. With the weekend imminent, as well as the SuperBowl, you surely need a playlist that will soundtrack your every move. This week's playlist is ultra-modern, occupied almost exclusively by a new generation of artists-- Young Thug, Roy Wood$, Tinashe, Jazz Cartier, Belly and more (we'll just glide over 2 Chainz, he's a strange case in that he's old-but-new). There's a fair amount of trap-influenced records, before moving into more musically-inclined songs. Shout out Angus for exclusively picking Young Thug records.
Today is a busy day for album releases as well-- there's at least seven different albums dropping, not to mention later tonight when Future drops EVOL. Which album has your attention?
Angus Walker: Young Thug "Special"; Young Thug feat. Lil Durk "Ride"
Trevor Smith: 2 Chainz "MF'N Right"
Mike DeLeon: Belly feat. Juicy J "Zanzibar"
Kevin Goddard: Tinashe "Ride of Your Life"
Rose Lilah: Roy Woods "SKRT (Remix)"; Jazz Cartier "100 Roses"
