Under Armour hooked Cam Newton up for Super Bowl 50.

The Carolina Panthers and Stephen Curry connection has always been strong. The superstar point guard for the Golden State Warriors, who grew up in North Carolina, predicted a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday followed by a Carolina Panthers win over the Denver Broncos. Curry is also the proud owner of a custom Carolina Panthers jersey, which he apparently keeps locked in a safe when he isn’t wearing it.

Now it looks like Curry has returned the favor to Cam Newton, enlisting the help of Under Armour in the process. The Panthers quarterback was spotted wearing custom Curry 2s during a media session yesterday, and they are extremely dope.

The kicks were created by Bay Area sneaker customizer Dee-Nyce, who was called upon by Under Armour. There are a ton of subtle design touches that make this sneaker dope, including a glow-in-the-dark Panthers logo and an image of Superman hidden behind a zipper on the tongue.

After his freestyle battle with a reporter and crazy Versace pants, we can’t wait to see what the entertaining Cam Newton has for us next.
