Reliable Chicago hip-hop blog Fake Shore Drive reports that reliable sources have told the site that Kanye West is set to perform on Saturday Night Live on February 13. If true, the performance will come almost a year after his last appearance on the show, when he performed a three-song medley that ended with "Wolves," which will be the final track on WAVES.
WAVES is supposed to drop on February 11, and on the same date, Kanye is set to perform the album at Madison Square Garden. The album's release concert will also coincide with the unveiling of 'Ye's newest clothing line with adidas, Yeezy Season 3. Seeing that he'll be in New York, it's reasonable to think he'll stick around for another two nights to make it onto SNL.
Kanye has taken the SNL stage six times, a record for a hip-hop artist that he currently shares with Eminem. Of course, with one more showing, he would hold the record all to himself.
Watch Kanye's SNL 40 performance of "Wolves," alongside Sia and Vic Mensa, below. If rumors of his forthcoming SNL return are true, it should be another iconic TV moment.
Edit: Confirmed.
