It seems as though French Montana has been prepping his album Mac & Cheese forever. In actuality, it's been over two years since he made the announcement of his sophomore album title, and since that time, we received multiple updates and even a few release dates, none of which have stuck. Nonetheless, it appears as though the album has finally come together, thanks to a collaboration he locked in with Nas and Kanye West.
French visited Hot 97's Nessa Nitty for an interview and update on Mac & Cheese, where he revealed after finishing a few songs, things are finally coming together.
"I was waiting to finish a couple of songs, and now I feel like it's done, it's falling together," French says. "I finally got a song with me, Kanye, Nas together, tryna drop that. We just shot a video to a song with me, Beanie Sigel, Styles and Kiss two days ago so I'm tryna do something different with. So I had to wait til I got it all together, but now I feel like I'm fully loaded."
When asked for more details on how the French x Kanye x Nas collaboration went down, French says he first hit the studio with Ye, and later, with Nas, "Actually me and Nas just finished his verse like, three days ago."
French goes on to speak on Kanye West's work habits, his Coke Boys crew and the passing of Chinx, and much more.
