Back in September, T.I. took to Instagram to hint that he and Jay Z had collaborated on “something” for his upcoming album Da Dime Trap, which we thought at the time was a record for the album. Well it turns out, that’s not necessarily the case anymore.
During his Tidal X concert in ATL on Monday night, (which you can stream here) Tip announced that he recently signed a distribution deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation label. In addition, the King Of The South also revealed that he’s now the newest part-owner of Hov’s Tidal services as well.
Making him the 19th owner in the company, Tip will join the likes of Jay Z, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Lil Wayne, and others. As usual, Tidal will have exclusive streaming rights to Tip’s upcoming releases, including the video for his new single "Money Talk" at midnight tonight.
The announcement comes on the heels of Tidal’s recent dominance in the game lately with its major exclusives, including Rihanna’s Anti & Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo. Now next, T.I.'s Da Dime Trap. Stay tuned.
