Kanye West’s Yeezy Boost line for Adidas has taken sneaker hype to new levels, mostly due to extremely limited release quantities. Some reports have cited numbers as low as 10 pairs per boutique (although this report disputes those numbers), and rampant backdoor dealing by some boutiques has left the general populace grasping for very little.
Enter a new report from The Shoe Game, who have been told by a source within the retail industry that as many as four times more Yeezy Boosts will be available to the public starting in February of this year. There are levels to this announcement, as it also packs in the acknowledgement that there’s an impending drop of Yeezy Boosts. Details on which versions of each sneaker will be available have not been released.
Given the crazy demand for the sneakers so far, we aren’t sure if quadrupling the totals will be nearly enough to sate the market for these kicks. Still, it’s a step in the right direction for Kanye West’s sneaker line after he promised the shoes would be “for everyone.”
