It's been almost two decades since the murder of Tupac Shakur and the subsequent killing of The Notorious B.I.G, and no one has been held accountable for the deaths of either rap legend. Both cases are no longer under scrutiny, but Faith Evans, Big's wife at the time of his death, wants there to be a renewed investigation devoted to the murder of her former husband.
"All we can do is hope that that happens," said Evans during a recent interview with Huff Post Live, when asked if she thinks Big's case will ever get solved. She also expressed her belief that the Los Angeles Police Department knows who killed Biggie:
"We know he was murdered, but we believe that the LAPD knows who's responsible. That's what we believe."
She went on to explain she doesn't feel the East Coast/West Coast beef that dominated the narrative of both the killings of 'Pac and Big, and their connection to one another, was related to Biggie's death. "The only way you can look at it is tragic. Tragic and senseless," said Evans. "But I don't think that situation was the result of being in the music business. It's a little deeper than that."
Also in the interview, Evans spoke on an upcoming duet project between herself and Big, The King & I, which fans can expect to receive in 2016. Watch below.
