Yesterday (Jan. 3), it was reported that Chris Brown was under investigation for allegedly assaulting a woman in his Vegas hotel suite. Shortly after the news made headlines, Brown shared a video response, in which he denied all allegations and pointed out that the accuser, Liziane Gutierrez, has been involved in past drama with Jason Derulo. TMZ, who originally broke the story, now reports Brown plans to turn the tables on Gutierrez and hit her with a defamation suit, which could come as early as tomorrow.
According to a rep of Brown, this is the second time Brown has been falsely accused of assaulting a female at one of his own parties. In November, also in Vegas, a woman accused Brown's security team of assault, though it's unclear if that is the first of the two incidents in question.
Apparently Gutierrez filed a police report against Brown and revealed details of the alleged assault to the media, so if her claims are untrue, it seems Brown would have ample reason to countersue.
In any case, Brown's rep has revealed that the Royalty singer plans on taking further steps to prevent such accusations in the future, such as disallowing any "hanger-ons" at his subsequent parties.
Check back with us tomorrow to see if Brown indeed goes forward with his defamation suit.
