After making beats for guys like Dizzy Wright and Skeme, Belgian producer Alex Lustig teamed up with Las Vegas emcee Euroz last month for For No Good Reason, a joint 7-track EP, and that's when his skills really became apparent. As he prepares for more work with Euroz, Lustig wanted to take a break from collabs to put out an instrumental project. After dropping the EP's lead track, "Light," which got some serious love on the site, Lustig has now released his debut EP: Pure.
The tracks are more electronic and experimental than Lustig's notable hip-hop fare, though certain bold emcees would be lucky to get their hands on some of them. There are 4 tracks on Pure, each one its own sonic exploration, full of different textures. In addition to hip-hop, there are traces of different types of club music, notably deep house. It's a quick listen, but one that's fully immersive. Stream Pure below.
