Aside from his fire verse on Jay Rock's "Fly on the Wall" and throwing a protein shake at a gym employee, it's been a fairly quiet year for ol' Busta. 2016, it seems will be different. In a new interview with XXL, he said he plans to release a new album next year “without question.”
“I’m getting ready to launch the single within the next couple of weeks,” he said. “You’re going to be getting a few albums from Busta Rhymes. I ain’t put out an album in retail since 2009 when I dropped Back on My B.S. It’s been a long time and we’ve been cooking all these years. Don’t think for the slightest moment that these last few years I don’t have a phenomenal full course meal for the entire game. It’s definitely almost dinnertime.”
As of last year, Busta is no longer a member of the Cash Money family, and it sounds like he's scheming up some major moves for his new label, Conglomerate Entertainment.
“We got a new artist I’m getting ready to put out that recently been signed," he said. "I got a lot of projects on the film side. New albums and we’re going to be touring on the arena level.”
