In one of the more confusing album campaigns we've seen in a while (lets not forget about Jeremih’s Late Nights: The Album of course), Chris Brown’s Royalty album is facing yet another setback unfortunately. All day long Chris has been on his social media accounts blasting the hashtag #BlackFriday & #Royalty, leaving us to presume that the album was still in fact dropping on the original release date of November 27, but apparently that’s not the case anymore.
In a new interview with Nessa from Hot 97, Breezy lowkey confirmed that his album will now be dropping everywhere on December 18 instead of Black Friday. He says that November 27 will serve as the album’s pre-order date, along with the unveiling of its official tracklist and snippets as well. You’d think he make some more noise to warn the fans of the setback, but apparently he’s doing the complete opposite and staying rather quiet on the subject matter.
Aside from the announcement (which you can see @19:05 mark below), Chris also talks about the inspiration behind the album coming from his daughter Royalty, fatherhood, maturing as a man, past relationships with Rihanna x Karrueche, and a whole lot more in this lengthy 36-minute interview below. If you got the time, strongly recommend checking this out.
