The Justin Bieber takeover is upon us. With the release of his new album, Purpose, the Biebz is transcending genres and widening his already-massive fanbase with a more grown sound. It's working well, so it seems, as Purpose debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts, and has now gone on to take over Billboard's Hot 100 chart, lifting records previously held by Drake and The Beatles.
17 of the songs on Purpose (there are a total of 18 on the deluxe edition) are charting on the Hot 100-- the most songs any artist has placed in the Hot 100 within the span of a week. Both The Beatles and Drake respectively placed 14 songs on the Hot 100, the former back on April 11, 1964, and the latter on March 7 and October 17 of this year.
