Last week saw a few highly anticipated releases, including new albums from Ty Dolla $ign, Jeezy, and Logic. Surprisingly, none of those guys made it into Top Tracks -- well, except Logic, who somehow ended up on a Juicy J track. Instead, Pusha T, the new prez of GOOD Music, came out of hiding and hit us with two top 10's. The other winner of the week has to be the astoundingly prolific Metro Boomin, who has three new productions in this week's list.
Elsewhere, Chief Keef currently has a total of 6 tracks circulating the Top 100, and J. Cole's Tribe remix barely missed the top 10. We also saw exciting new entries from Lil Bibby, Erykah Badu, and Curren$y, who will all vie for a spot in Top Tracks next week.
10. G Herbo Feat. Joey Badass - "Lord Knows" (Prod. by Metro Boomin)
After dropping his excellent new mixtape, Ballin Like I'm Kobe, Herbo celebrated signing to NYC label Cinematic by dropping a hard collab with his new labelmate, Joey Bada$$ -- the first of many to come.
9. Jadakiss Feat. Lil Wayne - "Kill" (Prod. by Bangladesh)
For his upcoming album, Top 5 Dead or Alive, Jada recruited another guy who deserves to be in the T5DOA conversation: Lil Wayne. Jada dropped off a verse on Carter IV's "It's Good," and Wayne returned the favor on "Kill," bringing along "A Milli" producer Bangladesh.
Move over Nicki and Meek, hip-hop has found a new power couple. Lil Durk and Dej Loaf couldn't have picked a better way to officially announce their new fling, dropping a collab, "My Beyonce," that shows the chemistry is real. Shout out to Jay and Bey for setting the ultimate standard, but they ain't coming out with a hit like this anytime soon.
7. Pusha T - "Untouchable" (Prod. by Timbaland)
After a year filled with only a few features on EDM records, Pusha T came back with a new single, "Untouchable," scoring his first ever beat from fellow Virginian Timbaland. The track is the first record off Push's next album, King Push: Darkest Before Dawn, which is set to feature Kanye West, A$AP Rocky, Kehlani, and more. We should get a couple more singles before the year's out.
6. Young Thug - "Hercules" (Prod. by Metro Boomin)
Last Wednesday, we thought Metro Thuggin was done forever. The next night, they squashed the beef and dropped a new banger on us. Though Thugger's got plenty on his hands, with Hi-Tunes and a rumored Rich Gang reunion, but a whole project with young Metro would be something special.
5. Juicy J Feat. Logic - "I Ain't Fuckin Wit Cha" (Prod. By WondaGurl)
Who thought we'd ever hear Logic on a track with the Juiceman? The unexpected duo linked up for a hard collab produced by Brampton teenage sensation WondaGurl.
4. Pusha T - "R.I.C.O. (Remix)"
A couple of months after Push jumped on a record with Quentin Miller, he decided to remix the Dreams Worth More Than Money track that first exposed the alleged ghostwriter, and the track that led to the most sensationalized beef in years. Was Push doing a little instigating here? Likely. Though we doubt Drizzy will take the subliminal bait.
3. Jeremih Feat. Future & Big Sean - "Royalty"
This massive collab from Jeremih leaked last week and immediately rose to the top of our charts. It says a lot about Jeremih's talent that we still have such lofty expectations for Late Nights after over two years of delays.
2. Wiz Khalifa - "Fucc Day" (Prod. by Ricky P)
Wiz Khalifa has been a fixture at the top lately -- this is his 5th straight week with at least one original record in the top 10. And the variety has been what's most surprising. His latest loosie-turned-hit is an auto-tune ballad produced by Taylor Gang's in-house, Ricky P.
1. Future - "Last Breath" (Prod. by Metro Boomin)
Future's incredible run continues. He and young Metro scored a track on the soundtrack to the upcoming "Rocky" spin-off film, "Creed." The track samples the original "Rocky" theme and finds Future rapping about how he's gonna keep hustling until his "Last Breath." Scary thought.
