Big Boi & Andre 3000 could have prevented Janet Jackson's nip slip.

The New England Patriots narrowly defeated the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl XXXVIII, but no one remembers that. All that anyone outside New England remembers from that Super Bowl is when Justin Timberlake accidentally-on-purpose ripped of Janet Jackson's shirt and bared her titty for all of Earth to see. The "wardrobe malfunction" could have been prevented, if Outkast had accepted the NFL's invitation to perform at that year's Super Bowl.

In an interview with Dan Le Batard, Big Boi revealed that he and Andre 3000 had received an offer to perform at the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show, but they reached an impasse when Andre wanted to sing “Hey Ya” and “The Way You Move” and the NFL said no.

“He didn’t want to cut the songs,” Big Boi said. “He wanted to perform both songs in full and they didn’t give us enough time to do it so we passed.”

Fingers crossed that the NFL will one day come to its senses and invite them back. Listen to Big Boi’s interview HERE.
