Certain legal documents from the increasingly convoluted lawsuit between Lil Wayne and Birdman continue to surface. TMZ claims to have received documents from Weezy's side that accuse Birdman of preventing Wayne from signing Chanel West Coast, who first came to fame as the receptionist on "Rob Dyrdek's Fantasty Factory."
She also fancies herself something of a rapper, and it was thought that Chanel was actually signed to Young Money, as she was featured on one song (with another Shanell) on 2014's Young Money: Rise of an Empire compilation. She's also currently listed on the artist page on the Young Money website.
However, the new documents claim that Birdman barred Wayne from signing Chanel to Young Money. In this instance, we can't hate on Birdman's decision too much, but perhaps this is one of many incidents in which Birdman didn't give Wayne proper control over the artists on his Young Money roster. That's likely what Weezy will continue to argue in court.
It also seems like Chanel is implying that the story is true.
