Drake and Future have given new meaning/life to the phrase, 'what a time to be alive,' thank to their new collaborative album What A Time To Be Alive, also known as the diamond emoji. Just as Drizzy did with his 'mixtape' If You're Reading This It's Too Late, the project is expected to shake up the charts first week out, thanks to it hitting iTunes with little advance notice.
HitsDailyDouble already have some projected sales for WATTBA, and it's looking like it could sell 500,000 copies opening week, and head straight to #1. Keep in mind, they are missing two days of sales by dropping on a Sunday night rather than the usual-Friday. They're 'bout to go platinum in two weeks.
Kanye West and Jay Z sold 436,000 copies opening week when they dropped their collaborative album Watch The Throne. Will Drake and Future surpass that? Let us know what you think in the comments. Are the two albums comparable?
Currently, the album is only available to stream via Apple Music or to purchase on iTunes. We'll keep you posted when/if it hits Spotify.
