Revered Wu-Tang producer, actor, and acclaimed filmmaker RZA has another upcoming on-screen project on his radar. Variety reports that RZA will direct an upcoming action-thriller titled "Breakout," which will begin filming in early 2016. The film's plot will focus on a young photographer who has been falsely arrested in Bangladesh on charges of drug trafficking as well as the ensuing rescue mission conducted by his father. The script was written by Richard D'Ovidio, whose past work includes films such as "The Call," "The Damned," and "Thir13een Ghosts."
The announcement comes about two weeks before the Toronto premiere of the action/comedy/romance film "Mr. Right," in which RZA plays a major role. It was also recently announced that RZA will direct a film titled "Coco," starring Azealia Banks.
