Jay Electronica calls himself "the God of hip hop" and disses Drake and J. Cole during a London show.

In hip hop, one of the most important factors in determining an artist's legacy and greatness is still the album. Although some would argue that the medium is past its prime, debates about "legends" or even "best rappers alive" usually involve the artists' discography, which is why this latest Jay Electronica story is so hilarious. During a performance in London last night, the albumless wonder called himself "the God of hip hop" and sent shots at two artists in competition for that title, Drake and J. Cole.

"Jay Electronica is the God of Hip-Hop," he said to a ravenous crowd, "You might be the 6 God, but I am the God." Later on, he cut off Skepta's "Shutdown" to proclaim "I'm sorry but J. Cole ain't got bars like this. I'm sorry, whoever your favorite rapper is, they all know that I'm the God."

Watch him make those lofty declarations below.
