Jay Z and Will Smith latch on to an upcoming HBO mini-series about Emmett Till.

Will Smith and Jay Z teamed up for last year's "Annie" remake, sharing production credits on the musical, which also stared Jamie Foxx. The two superstars are joining forces once more, this time foraying into television with a new HBO mini series.

Jay Z and Will Smith are attached as executive producers on an upcoming series about Emmett Till, Entertainment Weekly reports. Till, an African-American, was the victim of a brutal racist murder by two White men, Roy Bryant and J.W. Milam, at just 14-years old in 1955 Mississippi. Both men were acquitted, although they later publicly admitted to the murder.

It sounds like the series is in the very beginning stages, with no writers attached as of yet. We'll keep you posted as the series gets developed.
