After failing to complete community service mandated after a DUI, Too $hort decides that three months in jail is a better option than three years probation.

Back in 2013, Too $hort was arrested for a DUI in L.A., for which he plead guilty and was subsequently ordered to complete community service and spend three years on probation. Today, TMZ reports that he failed to uphold his end of the plea deal, not completing all of the necessary hours of community service.

Appearing in court today for the violation, Short was given the option of spending three more years on probation, or taking a 90-day jail sentence instead. He opted for the latter.

According to the gossip site, it's likely that he won't even have to serve the full sentence: "He's now in the first day of a 90-day sentence. The reality, though ... because of overcrowding, he'll probably be a free man soon.”
