Although he's been releasing a steady stream of mixtapes in recent years (the latest being 2013's Ism Churchill), Chicago rapper GLC hasn't really been in the spotlight since he guested on Kanye West's first two albums in the early 2000s. He parted ways with GOOD Music back in 2010, but now we've learned that he'll be working with Kanye again (as well as Dame Dash) on his upcoming album.
The Book Of St. Ism will be co-executive produced by the two moguls, with Dame explaining in a press release, "GLC is the best at what he does. When he played me his music, I knew I wanted to put this album together and I gave Kanye a call and brought him in."
Speaking to Fader about the concept of his new album, GLC said, "The ism teaches kids and adults to apply themselves and to supply their wealth all while understanding that the only limitations you'll ever have are those that you place on yourself."
Stay tuned for more details.
