Drake denies any involvement from himself or his OVO camp in the "Homecoming" film.

Recently, news has been circulating of a Drake film called "Homecoming: The Lost Footage." A trailer surfaced for the film, which consists of footage from a 2009 concert at Toronto's Sound Academy, documenting a pre-Young Money Drizzy.

The trailer has the Rap-A-Lot logo, and will reportedly contain interviews from Jas Prince (who was recently in the news for attempting to get more money out of Cash Money, so perhaps this is his solution?). However, Drake has confirmed today that this is not an official OVO release, and that he has no part whatsoever in the film. Taking to twitter, the rapper clarified, "The Drake Homecoming film is not something OVO or Drake have any part in. I feel it is my responsibility to inform and protect my fans."

Check out the tweet below. Whatever the case may be, the film is slated to hit theatres on March 19th.

Drake’s plan to “distance” himself from his own movie maybe coming back to haunt him.

According to TMZ, the film’s distributor, Specticast, is now reportedly suing Drizzy for trying to sabotage the film’s release (see Drizzy's tweet above). In the lawsuit, Specticast believes that Drake did it to draw attention to his Twitter page, because shortly after launching the "attack", he started tweeting about ticket sales for his OVO Fest this summer.

No word yet as for how much he’s getting sued for, but earlier this week it was reported that Drake did sign a contract to have the concert filmed for 15K, and that he would get 15% of any profits if the footage was ever used. So it looks there'll be more to this story down the road. We’ll keep you posted.
