Bobby Shmurda has expressed interest in leaving his deal with EPIC records.

Bobby Shmurda has been locked up for the last few months, and it's become clear that his label EPIC Records, will not come rushing to his aid the way many, including the rapper himself, assumed. While EPIC continues to generate revenue from Shmurda's gigantic single, "Hot Nigga", they have yet to provide any support in paying his $2 Million bail. As a result, Bobby is looking to cut ties with the label when he gets the chance.

“I’m going to try my best to go back on the deal,” Bobby told The New York Times of his disappointment with EPIC. “If not, I’ll give them their music and bounce.”

Matthew Middleton, Shmurda's lawyer, also commented on what he saw as disloyalty from the label. “These companies for years have capitalized and made millions and millions of dollars from kids in the inner city portraying their plight to the rest of the world. To take advantage of that and exploit it from a business standpoint and then turn your back is disingenuous, to say the least,” he explained, suggesting that EPIC had “made their money back at least two or three times over".

Bobby is currently spending his time in Manhattan Detention Complex. He and his alleged accomplices in the GS9 crew are facing a combined 101 counts.
