By now, you probably know that The Grammys are airing this Sunday, and that Kanye West, Rihanna and Paul McCartney are among the scheduled performers. But what you probably haven't heard yet is that another trio will unite to form a supergroup of sorts for one of the night's performances. Centering around "Glory," a track from the "Selma" soundtrack, a live medley will feature the song's original performers, Common and John Legend, as well as Beyoncé.
According to US Weekly, Beyoncé will sing traditional gospel song “Take My Hand Precious Lord” as a segue into "Glory." Common also spoke on the impending performance, saying “We do have an incredible introduction to our performance. A segue into our song ‘Glory,’ as a tribute to 'Selma,' being done by the great Beyoncé. That’s one of the greatest talents you can have, helping us segue into it. To co-create a performance with someone like her. It’s good.”
