For those of you keeping up with yesterday's string of event cancellations and/or Kim Kardashian's Snapchat, you likely saw that Kanye West attempted a spur-of-the-moment show in Manhattan following the G.O.O.D. Music Summer Jam takeover and in place of the cancelled Governors Ball set. Unfortunately, it did not come together as planned (or sorta planned), despite having a massive turn-out.
In one of Kim Kardashian's Snapchat, we see Kanye on his cell telling the person on the other line to get the Mayor on the phone (screenshot above)-- although that may not have happened in time for yesterday's 2 AM show, it looks like the Mayor got wind of this, and decided to respond via twitter.
New York's Mayor Bill de Blasio poked fun at Kim's Snapchat and also confirmed his interest in planning a block party with Kanye. He tweeted at both Kim and Kanye, "@kanyewest @kimkardashian Great block parties are planned. @Chirlane & I can throw one w/ you to benefit NYC kids."
Do you think we'll see a twitter reply from Ye? Will this actually happen? Time will tell. Check out the Mayor's tweet below.
