The Grammys announces some of the performers we can expect at the 57th annual event.

In December we received the nominations for the 2015 Grammys, which are right around the corner now. The event goes down on February 8th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Today the annual music accolades announced a few familiar r'n'b faces as performers for the night.

While the opinion of the Grammys can't usually be trusted when it comes to hip-hop, they've nonetheless tapped some key figures to perform at the 57th annual Grammys. Usher, Common, Pharrell, John Legend and Sam Smith are all set to perform on the Grammys stage. Sam Smith will be making his Grammy debut, and it's not too shabby at that, as he's got six nominations to his name. Pharrell also has six nominations this year.

These artists join the already-confirmed list of performers that includes Madonna, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Miranda Lambert, AC/DC, and Eric Church.

Tune in on February 8th.

[Update: LL Cool J Announced As Host]

LL Cool J has hosted the Grammys for the past three years, so why not make it an even four? The award show's official website has announced that the rapper will return to the ceremony this year. Cool J was quoted saying,

"I'm thrilled to again be part of Music's Biggest Night," said LL Cool J. "The performances and moments you see on the GRAMMY stage are nothing less than amazing throughout the years and this year's show is shaping up to be one you will never forget."

Be sure to tune in to the show on February 8th.
