Iggy Azalea does not think it's strange that she does "black music" because Elvis, Eminem and The Rolling Stones did it too.

Iggy Azalea's rise to fame has not been without critics and haters, including some very vocal disapproval from similar or lesser celebrity stature, like Azealia Banks and Lord Jamar. Given the Australian rapper's penchant for putting on some weird Southern accent in her raps, and generally giving us bars about absolutely nothing over pop-driven instrumentals, the criticism from rap counterparts isn't unwarranted. However in a new interview with Vanity Fair, Azalea puts her foot even further into her mouth, and reveals that she thinks she's been heavily criticized because: misogyny.

First, she gets asked: "Do you think it's weird for a white Australian girl to be a rapper?"

To which she draws comparisons to Elvis and Eminem: "Well, I never thought it was strange. If you go back to the Rolling Stones and Elvis Presley and Eminem—they've all basically done black music. I felt this wasn't that far from what we've seen in music history over and over again."

Later, "Do you think the criticism aimed at you is misogynistic?"

Iggy Azalea responds, "Well, they don't say that stuff about Macklemore. So, yes, I think it has 100,000 percent to do with the fact that I have a vagina."
