Last week, Spotify announced, among other year-end lists, that Pharrell Williams' "Happy" was their most-streamed song of the year. Now, iTunes is saying it's their top-selling song of the year. Damn.
Taking home titles from both the most popular streaming service and the most popular retailer of digital music, "Happy" can almost definitively be crowned the peoples' choice for most popular song of the year.
Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX's "Fancy" was the next hip-hop/R&B song on the list at number five. iTunes also shared its "Best Of" picks, with "Fancy" winning Best Song, Beyoncé winning Best Artist, Logic's Under Pressure taking home the Best Hip-Hop/Rap Album title and Jennifer Hudson's JHUD winning Best R&B/Soul Album.
