Joey Bada$$ got famous young; young enough that he didn't get to finish his senior year of high school. While he had to move on early, the Brooklyn rapper certainly had nothing but great memories from Edward R. Murrow High School, as he decided to give back to the institution this week.
Following a very successful event in partnership with the J Dilla Foundation and Akomplice Clothing, Joey raised over $10,000 selling unreleased music and exclusive clothing. He decided to donate the full amount to his former high school, buying instruments and production equipment for the Edward R. Murrow's music program.
Joey actually visited the school to pass on the equipment and good news, reconnecting with old teachers and watching a performance from the band. You can watch it all go down below.
