It doesn't come as a surprise to know that the future of New York hip-hop looks extremely bright. Once the birthplace of rap, the city still harbors some of the best talent in the genre.
But while others coasts and regions have taken off, many have been quick to accuse New York of losing its stature in rap music. While it's fair to say that hip-hop has developed scenes throughout the whole of the US, as well as across the world, the bulk of the music still comes from the East Coast.
