It’s hard to believe that night 1 of Drake’s annual OVO Fest could’ve been topped off after Rihanna surprised those in attendance last night, but it looks like it just was. On Monday night, Drizzy decided to once again bring out Chicago legend, Kanye West, to help rip apart the stage on night 2 of the event.
Just like last week, where Drizzy brought out ‘Ye in his hometown of Chicago, the G.O.O.D. Music CEO went ahead & performed his Pablo cuts “Pop Style” & “Father Stretch My Hands,” but not before he would give fans something to dream talk about first.
While speaking to the sold-out crowd, Kanye decided to tease the possibility of a collab album with Drake, asking the audience… "Toronto, I got one question for you….Is y'all ready for this album?" And by “album,” he wasn’t talking about Pablo or Views either he clarified, but rather a forthcoming collab effort from arguably the two biggest artists in the game.
For what it’s worth, perhaps maybe this is the reasoning for Kanye’s latest twitter rant over the weekend, where he voiced his frustration about streaming services Apple & Tidal needing to come together for the betterment of music. Or, maybe Kanye just wanted to get the crowd extra hype & asked a question we've all been longing to hear. Either way, it's got us hella excited at the possibility.
