After news broke last week of Ma Dukes' Yancey Media Group releasing a whole slew of previously unheard tracks from the late, legendary producer J Dilla, fans were excited. Now, it seems there's more to rejoice about in this holiday season as illustrious indie label Stones Throw have confirmed that they are set to release Jay Dee's most celebrated album as a box set in January 2013.
Donuts, the influential instrumental album, will be released as a special edition box set in eight records and it will be pressed in 45 vinyl record format. The box set will also include hard-to-find singles from the legendary Detroit producer. Among those singles are the out-of-print "Fan Club 45" featuring Oh No and Roc C, and "Murder Goons" and "Sniper Elite" featuring Ghostface Killah and Doom, respectively.
