What's up? This Tuesday afternoon is pretty slow on the news-front, but at least we've got some UA for your reading, and better yet, listening pleasure. I love this Tuesday 'cause a) it looks really nice outside and b) the HNHH office is practically empty (!!). That's besides the point though, I honestly had a bit of trouble deciding who to put on UA this week, not 'cause there were too many possibilities but 'cause there were too little. I guess I wasn't feeling much of what has dropped recently, I mean, there is always some shit, but it's not always UA material (i.e. it's a song that got a ton of clicks). Anyways in the end I decided to go with these four records...
Audio Push- Yes Lord Feat. King Chip & Travi$ Scott
I don't know much about Audio Push, apart from the basics, they're a duo from NC and associated with Hit-Boy. They released a mixtape, Inland Empire, the other week which features this cut, that has King Chip and G.O.O.D. Music's new comer Travi$ Scott on it. The hard beat is courtesy of Young Chop and yes lord, it bangs.
Pac Div- Cross Trainers Feat. Blu & Kendrick Lamar
This song actually got a sufficient amount of views, but most of that would have been due to the Kendrick Lamar feature. Not a bad thing, but still, Blu and Pac Div alone should warrant a click! I'm excited for Pac Div's upcoming GMB album. The rap trio have let go a few leaks thus far, and they are sounding quite cool. This beat is more strange, but those strange sounds definitely work for them.
Mayalino is new to HNHH but so far from what I've heard the Houston native is pretty aight. I really wasn't expecting all the jazzy-sounds in this beat but it works surprisingly well. Of course, many people listened just for the Pusha T feature, and I'm not gunna lie, that's probably the best part of the song. But I think once we hear more from Mayalino we won't be coming for the features alone.
Euroz- Holy Water (Freestyle)
As frequent HNHH viewers are aware by now, Euroz is that dude who topped Heatseekers and who's fan base has just continued to grow since. Game's “Holy Water” beat, which is produced by Sap, (aka the guy who did Mac Miller's infectious “Donald Trump” aka he knows how to create a catchy beat) is crazy. And since pretty much everyone has heard Game's own song, I figured it'd be good to shine some light on Euroz' freestyle. A bunch of rappers have been dropping freestyles over the instrumental since Game dropped the original, but Euroz is one of the ones that has stood out the most to me. His voice and flow match up with the beat and he goes in.
