The first week of September is upon us, but the new music isn't slowing down just 'cause summer is. We had a ton of mixtapes drop this past week, and still more to come. Nonetheless, not all new music is good music!! But here is some shit that is actually new AND good. Crazy shiet.
Blu- Rap Dope
I don't listen to Blu very often, and I keep telling myself I'm going to download more of his shit but I just keep forgetting! Anyways, whenever I see one of his tracks surface on the blogosphere, I'm always interested and give it a listen and I'm rarely disappointed. Peep this one off an upcoming project which may or may not be nameless at the moment, produced entirely by Bombay. Definitely aptly titled.
TiRon & Ayomari- Bernie Mac Feat. Ab-Soul
This was a standout cut off The Cafeteria Line's HNGRY mixtape. TiRon, Aymoari and Ab-Soul spit over a beat with drum clapping and a melodic female voice sample. It's all about just taking a chill pill and not worrying about another person's business. Just live yo own life.
Sir Michael Rocks- So Stupid Feat. Vic Mensa
Been having this track on repeat for the past week. The beat is too dope. If you're looking for more like this, it's off Ruby Hornet's Closed Sessions Vol. 2 mixtape, which is a compilation of original songs from artists like Action Bronson, Blu (who was featured above), CyHi The Prynce, Rockie Fresh and more. This one's about getting so stupid in a good way though.
Pac Div- Black Acura Feat. Raven Sorvino & Mac Miller
This is another one I've been steadily listening to since it dropped. Thelonious Martin delivers a dark beat for the Pac Div boys, and Raven Sorvino and Mac Miller add a verse. The only thing I dislike about this song is actually Mac's verse, his flow is annoying. I'd like it better with just Pac Div on it but whatever it still goes!
Boaz is a new signee of Rostrum Records, home to Mac Miller & Wiz Khalifa. So we haven't heard much from Boaz yet, but the leaks off his upcoming mixtape Bases Loaded sound promising. This latest leak is a fast-paced beat with some additional bars from Freeway.
