The rapper accused in the murder of Brick Squad affiliate Slim Dunkin, on December 16th, has turned himself into the police. Young Vito was urged by the Atlanta police to turn himself.
Young Vito, whose real name is Vinson Hardimon, was residing in Fulton County jail on the charges of murder and gun possession, waiting on a bond hearing.
When Vito turned himself in, near the end of December, Atlanta homicide detective David Quinn commented, "I got a call today from [Vinson's] attorney [and] he said he wished to turn himself in," said Detective Quinn. "There were at least 30 people in the studio at the time of the shooting. They should get in touch with me. We want the facts. It's the right thing to do."
However, just yesterday Young Vito was denied bond, and so is back in Fulton County jail. Quinn says that Vito was clearly at the scene of the crime, “his laptop was left behind with his name on it,” Quinn said. “And his name was on the dry-erase board as next up to rap.”
