If you’re unfamiliar, Daniel Caesar is a Toronto based singer who got the attention of fans back in 2014 with his debut project Praise Break. Following that up with 2015’s Pilgrim’s Paradise album, Daniel put himself back on the map this year thanks to the success of his singles “Get You” & “We Find Love.” While those tracks continue to pick up momentum and Apple Music backing him, Daniel decided to come through on Friday & release his highly anticipated new project Freudian.
Laced with 11 tracks in total, the follow up to last year’s Pilgrim’s Paradise features guest appearances from H.E.R, Kali Uchis, The Internet’s Syd, Canadian singer Charlotte Day Wilson & Toronto-based vocal group CaDaRo Tribe who also have a strong presence throughout. Meanwhile, production is handled by the likes of Matthew Burnett, Jordan Evans, Riley Bell, Jordan Manswell, & Alex Ernewein.
“Although the album is very much about love, I wanted it to not just be about that,” Caesar said. “I’d like to, as time goes on, write about more complex things.”
Led by the previously heard singles “We Find Love” & “Blessed,” fans can now stream the soulful project in its entirety for free thanks to the good folks at Spotify. Suggest you roll up and enjoy the new vibes. Project available now on iTunes.
If you wish to see Daniel live in person you're in luck, the Toronto crooner will be hitting the road this Fall for a North American Tour. Peep tour dates right here if interested.
