Out now, stream Buddy's new 5-track EP "Magnolia."

From being discovered by Pharrell in high school to getting peoples attention back in 2014 with his Idle Time EP, which by the way featured a young Kendrick Lamar, rising Compton artist Buddy has been on a path for success over the past couple years. Back in May, he teamed up with producer Kaytranada for a joint project called Oceans & Montana, which received great reviews in the process. So looking to build off its momentum & duplicate its success, Buddy announced last month that he was releasing a new EP to close out the Summer on August 25th called Magnolia, and alas here it is.

Laced with only 5 tracks in total, the EP features guest appearances by Boogie, Wiz Khalifa, and Kent Jones, meanwhile production is handled entirely by the duo Mike & Keys. In a recent interview, Buddy said he really wanted fans to get familiar with the production duo.

“I really want the listeners to get familiar with Mike & Keys.” the Compton rapper said. "We have over a hundred songs over the course of 3 years and we picked 5 to put out to the world. Their production is completely different from Kaytranada. I also want to further demonstrate my versatility as an artist.”

Led by the previously heard singles “That Much” & “Type Of Shit” featuring Wiz Khalifa, fans can now stream the 5-track EP in its entirety via Apple Music. Take a listen & let us know what you think. If you're a fan, be sure to show your support on iTunes.

Be on the lookout for an upcoming episode of "How To Roll" featuring Buddy coming in the near future as well. Stay tuned.
