Sad Boy is the first Chicano emcee to sign to YG's 4Hunnid Records. Not too long after signing, he got a huge look by guesting on the Still Brazy tracks "Don't Come to LA" and "Blacks & Browns." He's now dropped his first tape on the imprint, The First Ese, with which he hopes to become the first Mexican-American rapper to really pop in today's LA gangsta rap scene. Due to his background, The First Ese will present subject matter not often heard by fans of West Coast hip-hop. At the same time, there's plenty about Sad Boy's sound that will be readily familiar, as evidenced by "Gang Signs," which opens with a 2Pac sound bite. Much of the project is riddled with the same ghoulish paranoia that made Still Brazy such a riveting listen.
Containing 7 tracks and no big-name features, The First Ese is all about introducing the latest member of the 4Hunnid team. The guests on the tape are LISTO, G Cash, and Jessie Morales.
