Jet Life's Le$ released an excellent project at the end of November, Steak x Shrimp 2, which included features from Curren$y, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, and more. Today, the Houston-residing, New Orleans-born emcee has surprised his fans by dropping a 12-track surprise mixtape titled Dreamcast.
There are no features on this one, though the vibe similar to that of SxS2 -- a little spacier, perhaps, as inspired by Le$'s stoned adventures on his Sega Dreamcast. The project was apparently cooked up in one night, and the inspired studio vibes are relayed through the headphones throughout the tape. The instrumentals are smooth and spontaneous, never sounding overproduced. It's an immersive listen all supporters of the Jet Life movement should certainly appreciate.
