Just over a month after dropping 3 Weeks, his first official project on Sony RED, Houston Club God BeatKing is back with a joint mixtape with Nephew Texas Boy, Texlanta. The new tape brings together the sounds of two cities that have been influencing each other for many years, perhaps never more so than today. We last heard the Texas-raised, ATL-based Nephew Texas Boy on TM88's "Movin Slow." TM88 also shows up on 5 tracks on Texlanta, as do a few more of Atlanta's top producers, including Metro Boomin, London on da Track, and Zaytoven.
Combined with additional production from BeatKing himself and his go-to guy Ray Hunna, the production on Texlanta is unfuckwitable. The tape boasts features Paul Wall and Lil Keke, and there's a stacked collab with 2 Chainz, Quavo, and K Camp.
Download Texlanta, and tell us what you think of the two-city effort from BeatKing and Nephew Texas Boy.
