While Drake’s Views continues to reign supreme atop the Billboard charts for a record 9 straight weeks, let’s not forget there’s been a couple other notable projects to impact the industry in the past week or so as well, including Snoop Dogg’s Cool Aid & Logic’s surprise release last Friday Bobby Tarantino. But now the question remains... what will they sell in the opening week?
According to HDD, Snoop Dogg’s Cool Aid is projected to move a disappointing 7-9K units in the opening week, whereas Logic’s surprise release, Bobby Tarantino, is expected to sell 20-23K copies, which includes streams. In comparison, Logic’s sophomore album, The incredible True Story, sold a whopping 110-135K units in its opening week, but that was with a full studio roll out behind him however.
In addition, Maxwell's R&B album, blackSUMMERSnights, is projected to do much better than both of these two projects, moving 58-63K units this past week.
Peep the numbers for yourself right here, and let us know what you think. Do first week sales mean anything anymore or is it a pointless stat nowadays?
