Young Buck is having financial problems and might have to sell his name, it seems. The rapper, born David Darnell Brown, has to file for bankruptcy, and apparently he owes a lot. He owes child support, the IRS, and supposedly $10 million dollars to 50 Cent & his G-Unit label, with whom he is engaged in a dispute over his contract.
On Wednesday a Judge ordered the case to be converted from a Chapter 11 reorganization to Chapter 7 liquidation bankruptcy. As part of this liquidation, the person in charge of selling Young Buck's assests is also planning to sell his trademarked name, "Young Buck."
Young Buck says that he has had his name since adolesence, “My name, Young Buck, has been with me since I was 12, 13 years old. At the end of the day, it’s ridiculous. My name wasn’t given to me by G-Unit Records. They didn’t name me Young Buck. My mother calls me Young Buck."
