Today's #TBT track isn't too much of a throwback, though it's likely one that hasn't been in the rotation for quite some time. And for those who slept on it in the first place -- it's time to get acquainted. It was the very end of 2014, a day before Nipsey Hussle released his fan-favorite mixtape Mailbox Money, off which he made at least $100K by selling out the 100 physical copies for $1,000 apiece. "Choke," a surprise collaboration featuring the then-Rich Gang duo of Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan, didn't make it onto the decidedly West Coast tape, though damn if this isn't one of the hardest South-meets-West collabs in recent memory. The production comes from the almighty London on da Track. The song is properly prefaced with a chilling Samuel L. Jackson line from "Pulp Fiction," before going right into the awesomely frenzied hook from Thugger.
Nipsey's Victory Lap and Thug's Jeffery are both OTW. It's about time that Quan got back in the mix.
