Our thoughts are with Questlove and his family.

Our hearts go out to longtime drummer of The Roots and all-around great dude Questlove, whose father Lee Andrews passed away yesterday. He was 79. Lee Andrews was the frontman for the Philadelphia-based R&B group Lee Andrews & the Hearts, a classic doo-wop group that charted on the Billboard charts all the way back in the 1950s.

Questlove, real name Ahmir-Khalib Thompson, appears nightly on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and shared a heartfelt message on Instagram.
