It seems a joint project between Kendrick Lamar & J. Cole is still in the works.
Kendrick recently spoke to XXL on the project, saying, “We’re still trying to formulate it and sit down in a neutral zone, where either one of us is moving and doing shows, interviews and press all the time. We want to lock ourselves in the studio and make it right. We got songs where we can actually formulate something, but we want it to be right.”
The collab is untitled for now, but will feature production from Just Blaze and Pete Rock according to Kendrick.
“We got some shit,” he said on Just Blaze. “It’s city-based for sure. It’s classic. It’s history-making shit. It’s Just Blaze, a nigga I been listening to since I was 13 when I started rhyming, listening to Jay and all those Rocafella albums.”
