The meteoric rise of Desiigner and his debut smash hit "Panda" has been met with controversy every step of the way, as many believe that the song is a blatant rip-off of the style and sound of Future. The Freebandz boss remained quiet on the appropriation dispute in which he was unavoidably involved until this past April. During a concert in Syracuse, he told a particularly quiet section of the crowd, "Y'all must be Ciara or Desiigner fans," thus relegating his 19-year-old Brooklyn sound-alike to the status of his baby mama. Since, Future hasn't had much else to (publicly) say on Desiigner, but just recently, his Freebandz labelmates became vocal about their aversion toward the GOOD Music signee.
There have been countless "Panda" remixes this year, and the latest comes from Freebandz' own Lil Donald, who's known for past tracks like "Juice" and the Rich Homie-featuring "I Promise." His message for Desiigner is clear in the title of his remix: "Fuck Panda." Though it would be easy to see it as a diss track, Donald begins the song by saying, "This is not a diss. This is for the culture." Listen below.
Another Freebandz rapper, Doe Boy, who recently returned from an almost two-year stint in prison, took to Twitter to echo the sentiments expressed by "Fuck Panda." Donald first tweeted, "@LifeOfDesiigner should of respected the culture and paid his dues," to which Doe Boy responded, "Fuck dat nigga we FBG ova dis way." Doe Boy's next tweet consisted entirely of emojis, as it shows a gun directing two blasts toward a panda head.
