The principal of Paterson, NJ's Eastside High has been suspended after Fetty Wap filmed a music video inside the school.

Fetty Wap literally revisited his high school days in his new video "Wake Up." The rapper filmed the video in his alma mater, Paterson, NJ's Eastside High School. The video included strippers working the pole in the cafeteria, students chugging 40s, and teachers hitting bongs in class.

This didn't sit well with Donnie Evans, the Superintendent of the Paterson School District, according to NorthJersey.com. Evans placed Eastside principal Zatiti Moody on administrative leave while district officials investigate whether or not Fetty was granted permission to shoot the video and adhered to school rules.

Fetty defended the video in a statement released Wednesday afternoon.

"I went back to my old high school because I love my city," he said. "I wanted to show the students of Paterson that someone who walked those same hallways they walk every day and sat in the same classrooms shown in the video has become successful. If I can do it they can do it too."

His label, 300 Entertainment, also released a statement supporting Fetty: "[We] encourage and champions artistic expression and creativity from our artists."
