Stitches may have gotten knocked out in front of the police and jumped by his own crew in a two-day span, but as his conflict with The Game has started to simmer down, he's now saying that he ought to be thanking the Compton rapper for everything that went down.
Yesterday, Stitches admitted to XXL that he was ready to end his beef with The Game. He explained that his proposal of a one-on-one celebrity boxing match still stands, but should Game deny that request, he won't make an effort to prolong the beef. Now TMZ has caught up with Stitches, and he told the gossip site he is grateful that his one-sided conflict with The Game was able to garner him such widespread notoriety.
TMZ got the Miami rapper on a live video call, recorded while he was driving, and when asked if he saw Game's reenactment of his knockout during a recent concert, he had this to say:
"Yeah! Look dog, at the end of the day, I don't like that motherfucker. But I'ma tell you like this, I gotta thank him too because he's helped me a little bit. My record sales goin' up, my views goin' up, so at the end of the day, there's a lot of negative shit, but there's a lot of positives to it too."
Stitches was then asked if he could go back in time before his infamous knockout, would he still endure two beatings if it resulted in increased record sales, and he responded in the affirmative: "Hell yeah."
I guess there's no such thing as bad publicity.
