Snoop Dogg is not messing around with the revival of DoggyStyle Records. He's signed a ton of new artists with plans to groom them into the stars of tomorrow. A couple weeks ago we heard from Long Beach rapper Norfside Nusense. This time it's Clay James, one of Snoop Dogg's newest signees, who comes through with his first DoggyStyle Record release "Southern Playa Shit."
Clay James grew up in Savannah, Georgia and moved to Atlanta during his senior year of high school. Formerly known as CJ Da Fly Guy, he earned his spot at DoggyStyle on the strength of his numerous mixtapes, most recent of which is Henny & Apple Juice
Produced by Mazo Mystro and featuring Messiah Da Rapper, "Southern Playa Shit" has no shortage of southern twang. Give it a listen and share your thoughts in the comments.
